Do you remember your first love?

This may come off strange or rather untimely to reminisce about childhood memories or puppy love of some sort.

It’s funny though. I still remember—perhaps not all of it. The imagery flashed in my mind. It was almost the summer of ’89.

I can’t piece all the memories together but it still put a smile on my face. The only thing that I remember about it is the feeling that it gave me. It’s hard to translate the word “kilig” in english. Butterflies in my stomach? That’s probably the closest thing I can ever think of. Hahaha!

APRICOT has made me remember these memories. This beautiful narrative has truly captured the quality and the feeling of being right at the heart of what a “puppy love” or first love (if that’s what you call it) is.

I’ve been seeing photos of Artist’s tools on tumblr lately. Not that I am bragging about it or anything though. I just love how these photos look.

I decided one day to get myself a moleskine notebook from Avalon.

Hmmm….Moleskine. I wonder what the hype was all about?

My first ever Moleskine notebook. Next time, I’ll get myself a Cahier.

So far, I love how thick the paper is. It’s hard to describe the experience through words!

I can say they are very good. However, I’m also very curious about another notebook I’ll get for myself in the distant future. Has any of you heard of Ecosystem notebooks? I have tried drawing on recycled paper, so far it’s a love and hate situation. Avalon, I hope you’ll sell one of Ecosystem’s notebooks!

Teaching kids from ages 6-12 is a very challenging feat but at the same time it’s fun. I’ve learned a lot of things I need to learn—especially the part where you have to make yourself flexible so that you can address the kids’ needs individually. With kids, you can’t expect them to whip out something you have just demonstrated of course! However, you’ll really see who is really interested to learn from those who’s not. You can also draw from their strengths and from there prepare another exercise that will enhance their skills and creativity.

Oh yeah, if you like what I did, you can just grab them and use them for your class if you like. I’ll add more in the coming days.
